Statewide Burn Ban

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is implementing a statewide ban on open air burning, effective today, November 1, in all Maryland counties.

Mourning the Loss of Julia “Judy” Rye

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Life Auxiliary Member Judy Rye. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers; she will be deeply missed by all. May she rest in eternal peace!

Mourning the loss of Kay O’Connor

Barbara Kay O’Connor passed away on July 22, 2024. Kay was a devote member of the Nanjemoy Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary for more than 35 years.
She was a welcoming presence at the fire department functions, making everyone feel like a part of the family. Whether you were a longtime friend or a first-time visitor; Kay greeted you with open arms. She will be greatly missed be all. ... (Full Story & Photos)
