volunteering at a fire dept is more than jumping on an engine and fighting a fire. When people join a fire dept they join a family. A family that knows you, that understands you, someone is always there to laugh or cry with you. Bring you up when your down and mourn when your gone. To the nanjemoy fire dept. I am sorry for your loss. It is tragic and so sad that someone could be taken like that. We lost my brother in the line of duty in dec of 2002. His name was justin mangum and he ran with mechanicsville. we know how it feels all too well. To her family... you are in my deepest prayers and my family and i would like to extend our hand out and ask that if you need anything do not hesitate to ask. Sometimes it helps to talk with someone who has also been through it. this is something words can not express. I am so sorry
